Advert Evaluation (Label this 30.4)

After you have uploaded your Advert to your blog you need to write a short reflective evaluation. Reflection is important as it gives you the opportunity to think about what went well with your video and what didn’t go so well and more importantly what you would do differently next time. This is crucial so that when you make your next video you won’t repeat past mistakes.

So make sure you cover the following points in your reflection:

Explained what happens in the advert?

What went well?

What pleased you about making the Advert? (Equipment, working as a team, content, script, locations, framing etc)

What aspects of the final advert are you most pleased about?

How does your advert compare to a professional advert for the same product? What are the similarities and differences between the two adverts?

Which persuasive techniques did you use in your advert to help sell the product? (Refer back to Gilliam Dyer Powerpoint).

Explain whether your advert would be successful in selling the product or not?

Who is the target audience (age, sex, race, class, etc) for your advert?

What positive feedback did you receive and how did this make you feel?

What aspects of the video production were you not so happy with? (technical difficulties, team members being absent, The weather, access to equipment etc)

For each aspect of the video production that you weren’t happy with, what could you do next time to avoid it happening again?
